MoneySolver assists by finding debt relief programs that align with personal and business budgets and long-term goals. It also prepares and processes applications for student loan consolidation and repayment programs offered by the Department of Education, streamlining the process and providing valuable guidance.

Challenge – Finding a scalable Access Management solution to align with existing infrastructure and improve security with superior support

Following an historic security incident, MoneySolver faced a critical challenge and needed to enhance its security posture. Despite having existing Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) in place for server access, MS365 administration, and user VPN connections, MoneySolver recognised the need to extend MFA to workstations for greater security.

MoneySolver embarked on a selection process, evaluating four different Access Management solutions: Duo, WinMagic, UserLock, and SecurEnvoy. During this research phase, the company prioritised three challenges they needed to address: high availability, offline access, and cost-effectiveness.

It was clear that the architecture of SecurEnvoy’s cloud tenant aligned seamlessly with MoneySolver’s existing infrastructure, and the cloud-based approach allowed for simplified management. Demonstrating exceptional responsiveness, SecurEnvoy was able to swiftly address all queries and provide valuable insights during the evaluation and deployment process.

Due to the nature of the business, it was important to have a system in place to mitigate the risk of unauthorised access and comply with financial industry regulations. User management and simplicity were also key. The easy to use MFA solution from SecurEnvoy allows all users to approve authentication attempts by accepting a push notification on a smartphone. A simple, convenient and secure approval process which is futher enhanced by the addition of biometric approval, ensuring that only authorised users have access to the information they need – of significant appeal to MoneySolver.

The implementation of SecurEnvoy’s MFA solution brought significant benefits for MoneySolver. The improved security by adding MFA to workstations, allowed the business to significantly enhance its security posture benefiting from an additional layer of protection during the logon process. 

The SecurEnvoy MFA solution was implemented incrementally with the cloud tenant and bulk logon agent deployments, minimising disruption to daily operations. The simple user experience was also noted as a benefit to the company, with employees applauding the convenience of SecurEnvoy’s push features and notifications within the authenticator app. The ability to authenticate
offline using the logon agent now ensures seamless access across the business, even in challenging network conditions.
